The Opportunity
Môrwell Talent Solutions is working with an established organisation to recruit an organised, efficient and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining day-to-day accounts responsibilities with general administrative duties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping things organised, works methodically and accurately, and is confident taking ownership of their workload.
The successful candidate will enjoy variety, be comfortable managing competing priorities and be happy getting involved wherever needed to support the smooth running of the department. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly the confidence to pick up the phone, speak with colleagues, suppliers and customers, and proactively follow up on outstanding queries.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts experience who enjoys working in a busy team and is looking for a varied role where they can contribute to the wider business.

- Process supplier invoices and assist with purchase ledger administration, payments and supplier account reconciliations.
- Support sales ledger activities, including raising invoices, monitoring outstanding balances and chasing overdue payments.
- Complete bank reconciliations and reconcile payments received through various channels.
- Assist with daily income reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Investigate discrepancies, resolve queries and liaise with relevant departments, suppliers and customers.
- Support month-end activities, financial reporting and other accounts duties as required.

- Confidently pick up the phone to chase information, resolve queries and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure information is communicated effectively and tasks are completed promptly.
- Manage competing priorities, use initiative and ensure actions are followed through to completion.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, methodical and proactive, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage their workload efficiently.
You will be a confident communicator who is comfortable speaking to people at all levels, happy to undertake both accounts and administrative duties, and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs doing.

- An understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational, numerical and problem-solving skills.
