Credit Controller

Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with a reputable local business in the Bridgend area, supporting them in their search for an experienced Credit Controller to join their friendly finance team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, working with numbers, and playing a key role in improving cash flow.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will:
- Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely payment
- Build strong relationships with customers, resolving invoice queries quickly
- Assess credit risk and set appropriate credit limits
- Agree payment plans where needed, balancing business and customer needs
- Produce debtor reports and highlight any areas of concern
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy
- Work in line with company policies and relevant regulations
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in credit control (or a similar finance role)
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator, comfortable speaking with customers and colleagues
- Well organised, able to prioritise and manage deadlines
- Good IT skills — Excel is essential
- (Experience using Opera is helpful, but not essential)
