    About the Opportunity

Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting an amazing not-for-profit organisation in the recruitment of a Finance Officer to join its busy finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that makes a real difference, providing essential support to its wider services and helping ensure its finances are managed accurately, efficiently and effectively. Working closely with the Senior Finance Officer and wider finance team, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting everything from purchase and sales ledger activities to bank reconciliations, financial reporting and general finance administration.

    The Role

    • Processing purchase invoices and staff expenses, ensuring transactions are accurately coded, authorised and recorded.
    • Maintaining the purchase ledger, processing supplier payments and completing supplier statement reconciliations.

    • Posting bank receipts, payments and cash transactions, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
    • Completing regular bank and petty cash reconciliations.
    • Recording and monitoring debit and credit card transactions, maintaining accurate balances and supporting the administration of the card system.
    • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, budgets, tenders, grant applications and year-end accounts.
    • Supporting financial monitoring activities, investigating discrepancies and helping ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Producing reports, maintaining spreadsheets and providing general finance and administrative support to the wider team.
    • Liaising with colleagues, suppliers and customers to resolve queries and ensure transactions are processed efficiently.
    • Handling confidential financial and personal information appropriately and in line with GDPR requirements.
