Purchase Ledger Clerk – Temporary

Hourly Rate: £12.82 – £14.32 per hour, plus holiday pay
Môrwell Talent Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for an immediate temporary assignment based in Pontyclun. Our client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and support their friendly finance team through a particularly busy period. The assignment is initially expected to last for a minimum of one month, with the potential for an extension and, for the right person, the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
This is a hands-on, transactional finance role, ideally suited to someone with previous purchase ledger experience who is comfortable working in a busy environment and can maintain a high level of accuracy when processing invoices and financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices manually using Sage 50.
- Accurately inputting invoices onto the finance system.
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating any discrepancies.
- Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any outstanding issues.
- Preparing invoices for payment and ensuring all relevant information is correct.
- Providing general purchase ledger support to the wider finance team as required.
About You
- Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
- Experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to manage high volumes of data entry and invoice processing.
- A methodical and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support colleagues within a friendly team.
- Available to start at short notice.
