Môrwell Talent Solutions is working with a well-established business to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their friendly finance team on a permanent basis, based in Pontyclun. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchase ledger experience who enjoys a hands-on, transactional finance role and is looking to become part of a supportive team on a long-term basis.
Working within a busy finance function, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day purchase ledger process, ensuring invoices are accurately processed, supplier accounts are reconciled and queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly team where a positive attitude, attention to detail and willingness to muck in are just as important as previous experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices manually using Sage 50.
- Accurately inputting invoices onto the finance system.
- Matching invoices against purchase orders and investigating any discrepancies.
- Handling supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any outstanding issues.
- Preparing invoices for payment and ensuring all relevant information is correct.
- Providing general purchase ledger support to the wider finance team as required.
About You
- Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
- Experience using Sage 50 would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- The ability to manage high volumes of data entry and invoice processing.
- A methodical and organised approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support colleagues within a friendly team.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a busy finance function.
